The most beautiful beaches in Provence

Hidden in a quiet cove or tucked away just steps from the city, Provence's beaches are every bit as lovely as those of any exotic destination. Focus on these stretches of soft sand and azure water, where you can while away the hours by the sea.

Not far from Saint-Tropez, this amazing 5 km long beach was made famous in 1956 by the iconic film "...And God Created Woman" with Brigitte Bardot. Since then, Pampelonne's white sands continue to attract celebrities, and is just as popular now as it was then.

The most private: Notre-Dame beach in the Porquerolles

This is the island's largest and most famous beach. Located outside the village, Notre-Dame is a quiet and little-known haven, accessible within a half-hour's walk. On offer: turquoise water and fragrant pine groves, all protected from the wind and where boats are not allowed during summer.

The wildest: the calanque beach of En-Vau at Cassis

Surrounded by high cliffs that provide protection from the mistral, this luxurious shingle beach is one of Provence's hidden treasures. Reached by boat or a 40-minute walk, it is a wild, natural spot that has been preserved for those lucky enough to experience it.

The most different: Paloma beach at Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat

One of the most beautiful of the Côte d'Azur beaches, Paloma provides an extraordinary view of its surroundings: Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cap d'Ail and the cliffs of Eze-sur-Mer. The scenery is like the Caribbean, perfect for a peaceful afternoon in the sun.
