GIFTS THAT GIVE BACK

For every Star Gift Collection sold, we donate $5

We will be donating $5 from the sales of our iconic and hugely popular Star Gift Collections sold over the Christmas gift giving period to support a new project aimed at eye care education for community health workers in Papua New Guinea. We aim to raise $80,300 to fully fund this new project.

All Star Gift Collections feature the KTF Logo. Discover the Gifts That Give Back below.

EYE CARE FOR PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Supporting women and their families

Papua New Guinea is ranked on a par with Tanzania, Yemen and Angola as 158th on the United Nations Human Development Index (2015), lower than any other country in the Pacific. The government spends just 2.6% of gross domestic product on healthcare. This severely limits the funding available to provide eye care services for the population or to train eye care providers. Rural health posts and even urban hospitals are seriously under-resourced in terms of equipment, staff and drugs. The project will provide eye care health training to community health care workers to enable them to prevent, identify, treat and/or put in place pathways for eye health in remote and rural villages who are in dire need of just the very basics in ophthalmic care.

A TRUE CORPORATE COMMITMENT

As a sensorial brand, L’OCCITANE choses to support the visually impaired

By offering braille on most of its packaging. The Foundation goes further by facilitating the professional integration of the visually impaired and fighting preventable blindness in developing countries. To date, more than 2 million people have received eye care thanks to the L’OCCITANE Foundation’s support around the world. Let’s reach 10 million beneficiaries by 2020
