Tell us about your journey with L’OCCITANE

I have been with the company for 3 years in Australia but started my journey with the brand 6 years ago in New Zealand. I was fortunate to join the business in my last year of university as a Christmas  casual. I was soon offered the role of a part-time sales assistant, followed by full time sales assistant and then Manager for one of the busiest  boutiques  in Auckland. Not long after, I got promoted to be the Regional Manager to look after 12 boutiques.

I then moved to Sydney in April 2012 and became part of the corporate team as Retail Marketing Manager. My role is to plan campaign offers for the  retail channel and support retail teams to allow customers to shop through a sensorial journey to Provence.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
The innovation and new product development is what fascinates me the most. Being able to work with a brand that is full of true stories is very addictive, you just want to wait and see what is next!

What advice do you have for people who are interested in working and growing with L’OCCITANE?
Be a team player – Always tell yourself to be at your best in what you are doing as opportunities may come at unexpected times in your life.

What makes L’OCCITANE a great place to work?
L’OCCITANE is a great place to work because it’s all about being open, respecting people from different backgrounds and coming together to achieve the same goal.

What’s your favourite product and why?
Too many favourites of mine that I can’t name them all, but most recently, the La collection de Grasse fragrance – Neroli & Orchid.  Simply unique & divine!

Tell us about your journey with L’OCCITANE.
It’s been an amazing journey! The moment I arrived in Australia in 2008, L’OCCITANE opened its doors to me with the opportunity of working as a casual team member at our Little Collins boutique in Melbourne. Two years later, I was promoted to Assistant Boutique Manager and then I became Boutique Manager. This is when I discovered my true passion: training! I then moved to Sydney for the Sales and Training Coach position and for the past 2 years I’ve been working in the training department and love it!

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love training as it gives me the opportunity to learn something new every day! I also get the chance to meet inspiring team members (from all boutiques in Australia) and since we’re a company that regularly launches new products, I get to try them all in advance! It’s a dream job!

What advice do you have for people who are interested in working and growing with L’OCCITANE?
L’OCCITANE is a company that cares for its people and invests in them. It’s a very dynamic environment and of course, you have to love what you do to be successful and be able to grow with L’OCCITANE.

What makes L’OCCITANE a great place to work?
Definitely the people (very talented and passionate) and our culture. At L’OCCITANE it’s all about team work and how we can better support each other. We all strive to be the best at what we do and most of all we have fun!

What’s your favourite product and why?
This has always been the hardest question since I find it almost impossible to choose only one product. I love so many of them! At the moment the ones I cannot live without are the Almond Shower Oil, Divine eyes and the Magnolia & Mure EDT makes me feel mysterious and sophisticated!

Tell us about your journey with L’OCCITANE.
It all started when I was given the opportunity to work as a casual employee at the Sydney Domestic Airport in 2008. Since then, I have grown, gained valuable retail experience before moving into store managerial roles in a few of the major NSW flagship stores. 3 years ago, I made a bold move to join head office towards Inventory Controller. Being part of the supply chain team has definitely allowed me to advance my career in the role of Demand Planner.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
The most challenging aspect of my current role is dealing with unplanned scenarios. This requires a lot of problem solving and working with other to resolve issues/develop solutions. I would say this aspect I enjoy the most in my day to day work.

What advice do you have for people who are interested in working and growing with L’OCCITANE? Be passionate, proactive and diligent.
L’OCCITANE is a company that cares for its people and invests in them. It’s a very dynamic environment and of course, you have to love what you do to be successful and be able to grow.

What makes L’OCCITANE a great place to work?
The people. We are a close knit team here in Australia. Internationally, the whole L’OCCITANE team is also very supportive and willing to lend a hand when the need arises.

What’s your favourite product and why?
Difficult question. They are all my favourites! I would pick the Almond supple skin oil for its toning and softening properties. And the scent! I am in heaven…
