OUR COMMITMENT TO RESPECTING BIODIVERSITY

Globally, it is L’Occitane’s mission to promote regenerative agriculture and contribute to the conservation and preservation of Biodiversity. Locally, through our partnership with the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW), we have contributed over $250,000 since our partnership began in 2020. These funds will help to restore natural habitats, native vegetation and support wildlife rehabilitation to help regenerate bushfire and flood affected areas of Australia.

FNPW, along with global reforestation non-profit, One Tree Planted, set the ambitious goal to plant one million trees across bushfire and flood affected areas of Australia by 2025. We are proud to share that as at mid-way through 2023, we are already more than half way to achieving this goal!

PLANTING ONE MILLION TREES

"Rooted in securing Australia's native biodiversity for generations to come, by growing parks, saving species and healing our land, rehabilitating Australia's flora and fauna is at the forefront of the Foundation's mission. L'Occitane's heritage as a brand grounded in giving back to the earth meant working with their team was a natural alignment

L'Occitane's unwavering support for our bushfire recovery programme after one of the worst natural disasters in living memory has been instrumental in restoring Australian biodiversity by growing threatened and native plants that play a vital role in local ecosystems. This programme will grow and plant over 1 million trees by 2025, creating resilience in the landscape for generations to come."David Goldman - Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer, Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife

"As a global business founded on our commitments to the environment, leading change at a local level is so important to our team on the ground in Australia. That's why we have, and continue to partner with the Foundation For National Parks & Wildlife, to support the communities who are still recovering from bushfires and floods, to plant new seedlings in recovery nurseries nationally. In fact, our Head Office team just spent a day volunteering at the Hawkesbury Community Nursery in Mulgrave, NSW and contributed by planting a total of 4,574 seedlings in one day!

At L'Occitane we live and breathe our commitments - it's at the core of what we do as a business and extends beyond the donations we make globally. As a founding partner of the project with the FNPW, who have pledged to plant one million trees by 2025, our support is just one of the ways the business will strive to give back to both people and the planet, that in turn, provides so much to us."Pierre Joffre – General Manager, L’Occitane Australia
