Position Title: Boutique Manager
Department: Retail
Reports to: Regional Manager


As an ambassador for L’OCCITANE, the role of Boutique Manager is to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the boutique and team to consistently achieve the store objectives and organisational goals. This role will embody our PRosperity culture and represent as L’Occitane Ambassador


  • To ensure the highest level of customer service is given to customers at all times.
  • To achieve individual targets and contribute to the overall teams sales results as per set targets and campaign launches and to monitor and assess sales contribution.
  • To provide and maintain effective, efficient and profitable store management operations at all times.
  • To ensure a culture of motivated, knowledgeable and sales focused team members delivered through strong leadership, coaching, development and leading by example. .
  • Ensure sales contributions are monitored daily and confirm effective use of store consumables and labour, whilst employing loss prevention measures.
  • To ensure all policies, procedures, reports and directives are executed in accordance to company guidelines and Prosperity values.
  • To work within the Company guidelines to achieve the store and Company financial targets.
  • To manage the day to day operational and staffing requirements of the store including roster, security, banking and personnel issues.
  • Continually monitors store processes and procedures to ensure best practice standards are in place.
  • To manage recruitment and induction of casual beauty advisors against Company and store criteria. Consistently coaches all team members on customer service and sales to improve and maintain expected performance and achievement of KPI’s.
  • Full stock and stock take accountability in store.
  • Full administrative responsibility for store reporting. Management of boutique housekeeping, maintenance and merchandising in line with L’Occitane guidelines.

  • Possess 100% customer centricity, including being approachable and courteous to all internal and external stakeholders
  • General understanding of Health & Safety and HR at store level Retail business acumen, leadership, coaching skills and strong work ethic
  • Results driven and ability to multitask
  • Previous experience in dealing with basic performance management, coaching and development of team.
  • Understands the business objectives, is passionate & driven to contribute to L’Occitane success
  • High degree of empathy, understands how to deal with team issues and can anticipate how this may impact on others
  • Stay up to date on all product knowledge; ensuring modules are completed on our Learning Management System (LMS).

  • PC literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 2-3 years retail management experience (preferably in the beauty industry or similar)
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience in managing operations of a business, KPIs and sales targets.
  • Personal Development - Must be self aware & committed to developing and growing as a leader. Embraces and is able to provide clear & effective feedback
