Skincare For Oily Skin
THE BEST ROUTINE FOR OILY SKIN
Large pores, excess sebum, discomfort… Having oily skin is not always easy to understand. It's about finding the right balance between cleansing and hydration, to ensure that the skin is perfectly cleansed to avoid clogging of the pores, without attacking the epidermis, which will defend itself by producing even more of sebum.
We've got the tips you need to understand this type of skin and to find the best routine to adopt to take care of it.
Skincare Tips to Keep in Mind
EFFECTIVE CLEANSING
Never “strip” your face with excessively irritating products in the hope that it will produce less shine. It is the opposite effect which will tend to occur, it will redouble sebum to defend itself and protect itself. So always use gentle products on your skin.
Wash your face morning and evening. Gently double cleansing is recommended to ensure all traces of dirt are removed. This is especially important if you are wearing makeup: to remove all makeup.
IMPORTANCE OF MOISTURISING
Not moisturising your skin for fear of it being more oily is not advised. Like all other skin types, oily skin needs its daily hydration in order to glow and avoid that "dull complexion" appearance. Skipping moisturiser can actually cause the oil glands to produce extra oils and in turn make your complexion more oily. In this case it's best to opt for a water-based moisturiser that will not clog your pores.
