Position Description

Position Title: Retail Marketing Executive
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Retail Marketing Manager


This role will be pivotal in the implementation of our marketing plan across Retail, from creative execution and follow up of campaign POS and print materials to campaign results and sales analysis.
The role offers the potential to be involved in the full marketing mix and is perfect for an individual who is tenacious and thrives in a fast paced environment managing numerous projects at once and looking to expand on his/her marketing experience.
Positively and proactively, work towards improving position systems and processes to streamline reporting, communication and information to managers.


Promotional Strategy
  • End to end campaign management, including planning, ticket lodgement, table set up with VM, organisation of printing, delivering campaign collateral and campaign guide creation including local marketing in timely manner
  • Develop campaign signage and all marketing collaterals, be responsible for;
  • Define the type of signage (posters, show cards) and the various print materials (leaflet, flyers) that need to be created each campaign.
  • Write copy and coordinate the briefing of documents to design agency to deliver impactful marketing campaigns, in line with our brand image.
  • Follow up the development, from creative until completion and delivery to stores
  • Create Campaign Communication Pack (CCP) for each campaign; collating information from various department to give accounts one comprehensive document they can rely on
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain department and/or warehouse to ensure all stock deliveries are planned and products are available for the launch of the campaign
  • Maintain and update product price and promotions parameters on our POS system.
  • Support the execution of campaigns in store.
  • Work within budget frame and follow up with finance team
Sales Analysis
  • Accurate and timely analysis of each campaign, on the first day of the campaign. Conduct weekly campaign analysis and a campaign report at the end of each campaign to analysis campaign effectiveness, promotions performances, ROI and key learnings.
  • Run regular dashboards on sales to better understand our business, identify strengths and weaknesses and recommend accurate actions.
Support local stores activity
  • Support individual stores implementing local marketing activities with pro-active strategy & analysis in order to maximise their business & add value. Develop relationships with key store managers & have a flare for creative marketing & ideas.
  • Support new store opening marketing activities, such as goodie bag, GWP, sampling, store event preparation, communication in store. 
Competitors Analysis
Identify & track activities of key competitors and innovators, to report and suggest appropriate response to maintain L’Occitane competitive position

  • 1-2 years within a similar role
  • Experience in the retail industry highly advantageous
  • Tertiary marketing qualification preferred
  • Organised individual whwo can prioritise tasks
