So how do we double cleanse?

1. Begin with an oil-based cleanser to break down your makeup and impurities.
2. The second cleanser is generally a water-based cleaser that works deep down to reach into pores and remove any extra surface grime.

It's important to note that over-cleansing that strip the skin of its natural oils and protective barrier. We recommend only double cleansing in the evening.

This means a cleansing oil can actually be well-suited to oily skin, provided it is emulsified and rinsed thoroughly. Following with a water-based cleanser removes any remaining residue and prevents the oil from sitting in pores.

What is the difference between a cleansing oil and micellar water?
